Clarence William Heath Robinson was an English cartoonist and illustrator whose characterful art is still popular today. He was born in London into a family of artists including his father and brothers (Thomas Heath and Charles). During his career he illustrated many popular books of the time such as those from Hans Andersen, Shakespeare, Rabelais and Charles Kingsley. Robinson’s work was also in demand for various magazines and adverts. He also wrote and illustrated children’s books himself including ‘Bill the Minder’ and ‘The Adventures of Uncle Lubin’.

This unique collection contains 40 full colour plates plus 157 pages of pen and ink drawings from five books. The images have been cleaned and restored by our studio and are presented in a specially produced PDF ebook. All of the illustrations are embedded in the PDF ebook in high resolution (300 dpi, large file size) for high quality print reproductions or to copy and use in your own projects
