Description
Charles Robinson was an English illustrator whose characterful art is still popular today. He was born in London in 1870 into a family of artists including his father and brothers (William Heath and Thomas Heath). During his career he illustrated many popular books of the time such as Lullaby Land, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Grimm’s Fairy Tales and The Secret Garden as well as books written by himself. Robinson’s work was also seen in various popular magazines of the time.In his later career he became an established painter mainly in watercolours.
This unique collection contains 224 pages of Robinson’s illustrations with many colour plates and hundreds of pen and ink drawings, both full page and ‘in text’ sketches. The images have been cleaned and restored by our studio and are presented in a specially produced PDF ebook. All of the illustrations are embedded in the PDF ebook in high resolution (300 dpi, large file size) for high quality print reproductions or to copy and use in your own projects
